My Internet Presence Provider is proud to announce the addition of PHPSelect to our servers. PHPSelect allows you to easily choose the version of PHP you want to use.
With PHPSelect we are now able provide developer friendly PHP4 and PHP5 hosting, without breaking scripts designed for PHP4.
Customers who want to use only PHP4 do not have to do anything at all, by default all your scripts will run on PHP4.
Developers using PHP5 in their scripts can now add a single line of code to their .htaccess file, and have control over exactly which file extensions will use PHP5.
Here is an sample of adding PHP5 to your account:
Create a file called .htaccess
Insert the following code:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php .php4 .php3
The code above would make all your .php .php4 and .php3 file extensions be handled by PHP5 instead of PHP4.
